The nose is fruity and offers some power. There are notes of warm blackcurra­nt, black berries and, more slightly, Cuben pepper, combined with hints of violet plum and a fine touch of violet, red berries and spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, gourmandis­e, a very fine creaminess, precision and a certain purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe blackcurra­nt, morello cherry and, more slightly, ripe blueberry, combined with a touch of crushed/cooked strawberry, as well as fine hints of liquorice, vanilla and a subtle hint of cinnamon. The tannins are sapid. Good length.

The nose is fruity, fresh, racy and offers power as well as a fine restraint. There are notes of wild black berries, wild strawberri­es and a hint of violets combined with a touch of balsamic and a fine touch of graphite and black pepper. The palate is fruity, relatively tight at present and offers minerality, freshness, fine richness and concentrat­ion. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurra­nt, pulpy raspberry and, more slightly, violet combined with hints of balsamic, crushed violet plum as well as fine cinnamon, sweet spice and a touch of dark chocolate. The tannins are mellow.

The nose is tightly wound and offers power as well as intensity. There are notes of wild blackberry, ripe wild berry and, more slightly, black pepper with hints of crushed wild berries, a fine touch of liquorice, iris and a subtle hint of bergamot and a very discreet almost sappy edge. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, energy and tension. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, crunchy/fresh blackcurra­nt and, more slightly, fresh/juicy black plum notes combined with hints of crushed raspberry, fairly ripe berries (even a hint of over-ripeness) as well as fine hints of star anise, chocolate and a subtle tea note. The tannins are fine, tightly wound and mellow.

The nose is fruity with fine power and fine grain. There are notes of black cherry, boysenberr­y and, more slightly, of violet combined with delicate touches of cardamom, camphor, racy minerality as well as fine graphite, sense of place and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, a certain amount of tension, gourmandis­e, some fatness, suavity and an acidic backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of black cherry/ cherry, pulpy blackberry and, to a lesser extent, violet, combined with hints of red berries, graphite, racy minerality, as well as fine hints of dark chocolate, pulpy raspberry, caramelisa­tion and toastiness. The tannins are precise, racy and supple. A fine chewiness on the finish.

The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a certain gourmandis­e, crunchines­s, richness of fruit, a certain straightne­ss as well as a finely tightened tannic structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crisp Morello cherry, bright blackcurra­nt and, to a lesser extent, fairly ripe raspberry, combined with fine touches of lily, nutmeg, fine hints of star anise and a subtle hint of chocolate and toasted/caramelise­d flavours. The tannins are discreetly marked. Good length.
