Volnay 1er Cru

The nose is elegant, aromatic, fine and relatively concentrated. It reveals notes of mocha, woody notes and slight notes of juicy plum, cherry associated with hints of red fruits and slight notes of chocolate, spices as well as a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper and flowers. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). As wine is decanted, the nose opens up slowly. The palate is fruity, elegant, smooth, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, precision, gourmandize as well as tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blueberry cream, blackberry and juicy red fruits (strawberry, cherry) associated with discreet hints of small red berries, liquorice, toasted oak and chocolate. Tannins are fin and well-built. Good length. Nice potential!
