Didier Cuvelier
General Manager, Château Léoville Poyferré
Wine is an important part of my life and it is a job that you can not do without passion when you are a producer.
Obviously in my professional life the interactions with my technical team and my consulting oenologist (Michel Rolland) are always exciting. I also love interacting with consumers and trying to make them become regulars.
In my social life: the milieu of wine is an environment that is increasingly open where one increasingly acquires friends.
In my private life: wine is often too important: We can not get up without thinking about the weather and the consequences that it can have especially during the harvest where obviously the sleep is long to come ...
In my circle of close friends I try to avoid talking about wine but very often someone comes back to it just to talk about the wine served at the table.
What was your last wine emotion?
My last great emotion was a Pétrus 82 which confirms that this vintage is very exceptional and marked the spirits.
