Château Meyney 2011

-

Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity, aromatic, elegant and charming / velvety. It reveals notes of racy minerality, graphite and slight notes of blackberry, cassis associated with hints of redcurrants crushed raspberry, as well as hints of wood, tobacco, cedar and a hint of spices. The mouth is fruity, fresh, gourmand, quite straight, beautifully gourmande and offers a nice definition, a good minerality as well as finesse. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, fresh strawberry and slight notes of cassis combined with hints of toasted oak, a discreet hint of cherry, mocha as well as a slight hint of nutmeg and a hint of caramelization. Tannins are fine, (very) slightly firm and elegant. Good length and persistence.
