The nose is fruity, relatively intense and offers a slight powerful. It reveals notes of cassis, wild berries and more slightly of strawberri­es associated with hints of redcurrant, woody hints, minerality, spices as well as discreet hints of undergrowt­h, a hint of Sichuan pepper, bell pepper and mocha and a very discreet hint of cinnamon. The palate is fruity, mineral, relatively silky, quite aerial, well-balanced and offers tension, a good structure, fat as well as a slight intensity/concentrat­ion. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, slight notes of plum, black cherry, raspberry associated with hints of redcurrant as well as slight notes of grilles oak, mocha, spices and discreet notes of cardamom. Tannins are fine are very slightly dry. Good length and persistenc­e. There is powerful on the finish. A wine made in a more easy-drinking style than the other wine of this estate, Château Lalaudey.
