The nose is fruity, relatively dense, nicely powerful and offers a nice finesse. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and fine hints of raspberry, redcurrant and a touch of gray pepper as well as fine hints of roasted oak and a touch of chocolate. The palate is fruity, mineral, racy, elegant and offers a nice minerality, a nice freshness, a fine tension, righteousness as well as an acid frame (in the background). On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and fine hints of raspberry, redcurrant as well as hints of toasted oak and a discreet hint of hazelnut. Tannins are fine and well built. The finish is a bit suave. There is a very discreet hint of caramelization on persistence.
