The nose is aromatic, powerful and racy. It reveals notes of wild red fruits and hints of wild strawberry combined with discreet hints of undergrowth, a very discreet hint of mushroom as well as a slight hint of Sichuan pepper, a few discreet woody hints and a quite discreet hint of smoke. The palate is fruity, quite fine, relatively suave, well-balanced and offers fat and juiciness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant and fine hints of cassis combined with a touch of wood, grilled as well as a very discreet hint of roasting / coffee on the finish / persistence. Tannins are fine, well-built and (very) slightly dry. Good length.
