Pommard – Premier Cru

The nose is fruity, gourmand, full, complex, elegant and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry, raspberry and discreet hints of strawberry associated with hints of blueberry, a discreet hint of flowers, slight touch of liquorice, woody hints as well as discreet hints of spices (nutmeg, white pepper) and a slight hint of tea. The palate is fruity, mineral, elegant, racy, ample, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, roundness, a slight acidity (in the background) as well as a mineral frame. In the mouth this wine expresses hints of juicy plum, blackberry and black cherry associated with slight notes of raspberry, wild strawberry as well as discreet touch of liquorice, black tea, cardamom and a discreet hint of caramelization/nougatine. Tannins are fine, young and a bit dusty. Good length and beautiful persistence. This wine has a nice potential in the future!
