Dona Matilde - Reserva 2013

Douro

-

The nose is fruity, relatively powerful, fine and quite elegant. It reveals notes of boysenberry, cassis and slight hints of black cherry, strawberry associated with hints of black olive as well as a discreet hint of garrigue and tonka bean. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). The palate is fruity, mineral, silky, well-defined, racy, well-structured and offers fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, redcurrant, blueberry and slight notes of raspberry associated with discreet hints of black olive, mocha/tonka bean as well as a hint of toasted oak. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
