Lawson’s Dry Hills - Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Marlborough
The nose is fresh, fruity and relatively fine. It reveals notes of ripe citrus (lemon, grapefruit) combined with a discreet hint of beeswax, lime zest, flint and an imperceptible herbaceous hint. The mouth is fruity, mineral, fresh, fat, suave, a bit gourmande and offers a nice freshness, an acid frame and a nice roundness / softness. The attack is (very) slightly «perlante» (discreet sparkling/beading effect). In the mouth this wine expresses fine notes of lemon, lychee and hints of mandarin associated with discreet hints of passion fruit, fresh pineapple as well as slight hints of quenette. Good length and persistence.
