De Ponte Cellars - 2014 Pinot Noir
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley
The nose is fruity, well-structured and slightly powerful.. It reveals notes of black cherry, cassis and slight touches of blueberry associated with hints of wild red fruits as well as subtle/discreet hints of spices (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built, racy and offers a beautiful juiciness, a slight suavity, a slight tension as well as a slight racy minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with touches of fleshy/juicy boysenberry, cassis as well as a hint of black cherry cream, licorice and a subtle hint of vanilled oak. Tannins are fine, well-built as well as very slightly chewy. Nice persistence.
