The Singleton - Glen Ord - 15 Years Old

Single Malt - Scotch Whisky

-

The nose offers complexity. It reveals fine notes of caramelization, Zante currants and Bourbon vanilla combined with a subtle hint of caramelization, candied peach / apple as well as a subtle hint of citrus zest (lime / orange) and biscuits. The palate is aromatic and offers a fine freshness, a fine minerality. On the palate this Scotch Whisky expresses notes of Zante currants and compoted apricot combined with subtle hints of pear in syrup, nougatine / pâtisseries, a fine hint of honey as well as a touch of dark chocolate (in the background), spices and tea / grilled oak. Good length and good persistence. There is a very discreet hint of Sherry in the background / on the persistence.
