Carrie Gracie
Carrie Gracie, one of the BBC’s top journalists, has been widely praised after she quit her job as a China editor in protest against the gender pay gap, accusing the British corporation of having a “secretive and illegal” culture of unequal salaries. In an open letter, Carrie Gracie accused her bosses of taking a “divide-and-rule” approach to female staff. She said the BBC was facing a “crisis of trust,” after it was revealed two-thirds of its stars earning more than £150,000 were male.
