Dress coDe 3 Yes, we know: Christopher Bailey, mega

BurBerrY boss, does it all as combined Chief Exec and artistic director at the British luxe super–flagship. It is even whispered that he dictates the colour of in– house Post–it notes and the exact strength of the sharp, chic coffee served to punters at his Shanghai boutique. With his summer collection, the critics quite rightly commented that Christopher Bailey seemed to be trying to step back from all that hyperactivity. Take one floppy hat, an aluminium easel and a sketchbook to go off and sketch in the Yorkshire countryside. Takes you back to what David Hockney has been doing recently, colour– wise: water–meadow greens, daffodil yellows, deep pinks, cardigans in old–fashioned mint bonbon, “British skies” blues, and the poppy red worn daringly head–to–toe. A standout silhouette for a sharp, chic summer, just like that coffee served by the staff in the boutique in Shanghai.
