A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
As the seasons slowly hand over the city one to another, the French capital doesn’t skip a beat in offering a myriad of things to do and to discover. September spells a welcome invitation to all design aficionados with the Maison & Objet trade show and Paris Design Week showcasing the latest creations from designers coming from all over the world. And in our In Design feature we share with you our favourite design inspirations, from the Eiffel Tower to one of Paris’s most iconic brasseries. We also meet and introduce you to Victor Sanz, Tumi’s Artistic Director, who shares with us his travel tips, his design process and how he overcomes jetlag. Every lady and every gentleman knows the power of a great accessory, a watch, a bag and a great diamond necklace can add an extra touche to an outfit and in our Bejewelled Bags photo shoot your eyes can feast on some of the breathtaking creations in both haute joaillerie and leatherware from French and international houses. Meanwhile, for our visiting foodies, our Dining pages are overflowing with some great tables to discover, from pasta to pancakes, Asian cuisine and popular brasseries. There is something for every taste bud to devour, while our Entertainment section is bursting with an impressive selection of pop-up bars, from gin to Saint Tropez, everything is getting a dedicated and themed bar. We hope you enjoy this issue and your stay in Paris.
