If you’ve been following us for a long time, you’ll know that, for us, holidays in the mountains are not just about skiing. It’s also about the whole experience, and haute cuisine plays a not insignific­ant role in this. With the word, «gourmet» already in its name, the Lenkerhof Gourmet Spa Resort sets the tone straightaw­ay. We’ve been told that a certain number of guests come here in both summer and winter for that one and only reason, thereby ignoring the slopes. In the elegant dining room, Chef Stefan Lünse (awarded 16 points in the Gault & Millau restaurant guide), offers a new selection of sixteen dishes every day, made chiefly from local and other Swiss produce. Does the number of dishes intimidate you ? Don’t worry because you can savour just a selection and then the amount you’ll eat will be closer to that of a starter. The more voracious gourmets amongst you will need to consume several to eat their fill.
