If something is “sustainable”, it meets the needs of the present without destroying the chances for future generations to meet their needs as well. Something that is sustainable can continue for a long time. A company that wants to be green should be looking at sustainable solutions to reduce greenhouse gases — and to conserve natural resources. We talk about “environmental sustainability” or “sustainable development”.
