PolyBrute 2.0

-

Arturia‘s polyphonic analog synthesizer features a 61-key keyboard with aftertouch and can be played in six voices. The two oscillators deliver a multi-faceted basic sound between pleasantly warm, metallic and aggressive, which can be flexibly shaped with the two filters. With its flexible modulation options and its matrix sequencer, the instrument is of course a specialist for complex and impressively animated sounds. The absolute highlight and unique selling point among analog synthesizers is the possibility of creating two completely different sounds and either layering or splitting them, but also morphing continuously between them. The three separate effects are generated digitally and can also be modulated.

In our test, PolyBrute was able to score as an unique and very high-quality instrument for classic synthesizer sounds, but especially for its own signature sounds with a high recognition value. The sound is extremely versatile for an analog synthesizer. Proven playing aids such as arpeggiator and ribbon form a perfect combination with modern features such as the polyphonic matrix sequencer, recording of parameter movements, Morphee controller, storability and operation via VST plug-in.

With the free update, Arturia has made PolyBrute even more powerful and flexible. Ensemble effect, adjustable synth accuracy and chord memory please lovers of vintage sounds and the real-time display, the expanded LFO3 and the master EQ the sound screwdrivers. The highlight for us is the duophonic aftertouch, which allows even more expressive playing of this exceptional synthesizer.
