Amp and pedal emulation from Acustica Audio
Acustica Audio has so far made a name for itself mainly through its emulations of channel strips and equalizers. Now, Aero is the first simulator of amps and guitar cabinets. Aero consists of the pedal plug-in Aero Stomp and the amp tool Aero Amp. Both of the plug-ins come in a feature-reduced, free basic version, as well as a paid version. The basic edition includes three pedal models for Distortion, Overdrive, Boost and Fuzz. In Aero Amp, four American amps are available for selection, with which the vintage feeling of the 50s and 60s can be brought into the studio. Furthermore, you can choose between five mic positions for a cabinet. Those who need more choice based on impulse responses can purchase 50 more Pedals, 57 Amps and 66 Cabinets in the form of the Volume A Expansion Pack. Even though Aero is primarily aimed at sound designers and electric guitars, the emulations should also be applicable to other types of tracks.
The full version of Aero can be purchased now for 149 Euro and is compatible with VST, AU and AAX formats.
