Jamming on the go with MIDI controller from ESI
For playing drums or recording a few chords on the go, ESI Audio has released their new Xjam MIDI performance controller with a sleek design. The rugged, portable compact model is designed especially for musicians, DJs, sound tweakers and sound shapers. It features a three-color 4x4 matrix with 16 pressure-sensitive pads for an expressive playing experience that offers up to 48 configurations. These are also capable of polyphonic aftertouch. There are also six endless knobs for control. The latter can be assigned to different parameters of plug-ins or hardware equipment via MIDI. There are 48 user-defined memory locations for recalling scenes. Xjam is equipped with a MIDI output, a foot pedal input and a USB port and can also be used as a standalone controller via USB if necessary. The DAWs Bitwig Studio 8-Track and Cubasis LE, as well as the audio editor Wavelab LE, still provide for immediate production start. There is also a dedicated editor for the controller.
Xjam can be purchased immediately from retailers for 149 Euro.
