Cube studio monitors with power amplifier from Auratone
Auratone has released the 5C Active Super Sound Cube, a cube-shaped studio monitor with an active design and integrated power amplifier. The speaker, which was developed in close cooperation with Bettermaker, is said to be in no way inferior to the passive model in terms of sound and does not require any external peripherals. The full-range speaker uses a Class-D power amplifier from the Auratone A2-30 standalone amplifier. This compact monitoring reference also incorporates a 114-millimeter driver, which promises sound engineers and producers a phase-true representation of the midrange. The monitor is installed in a closed cabinet and is made of 16-millimeter-thick MDF material. It covers a frequency range of 75 - 15,000 Hz. Its power is 30 watts, and its peak power is as high as 50 watts. The impedance ratio is said to be over 100 dB. For connections, there are balanced XLR jack combo jacks on the back.
The pair price for the 5C Active Super Sound Cube monitors is
799 Euro. The model is immediately available in specialty stores.
