My tracks sound fuller than the productions of other acts. But if I reduce the sounds too thin. What can I do?

The most obvious solution, of course, is to reduce the tracks and then layer the remaining sounds with others so they don‘t sound too thin. But it‘s probably not that simple. But before you completely rebuild the track, keep two things in mind: On the one hand, you probably already know your track inside out and - unlike your listeners - don‘t even notice some elements anymore, which ultimately leads to wanting to add more and more material. To check this, there is a practical rule: A listener can usually perceive three elements. For example, drums, bassline and a melody. If you add another element, you should not vary the existing ones at the same time. And don‘t add two more elements, just one. So before you always add new elements, check in the arrangement if there are not already enough. Distance can also help. If you are unsure, leave the track for a few days, start a new one, or listen to music.
