Usynth Bundle

With the Usynth series, UJAM applies its concept of „reduction to the essentials“to synthesizers. So far, the series includes five instruments based on the same powerful synth engine, but with different sounds, samples and sequences. Each title offers 100 synth presets and more than 80 tuned effect chains like UJAM‘s Finisher plug-ins, up to 50 sequences and 100 global presets. While a very complex synthesizer is at work under the hood of these virtual instruments, the synth presets can only be adjusted with a handful of macro controls such as Dark/Bright, Modulation, Distortion and Character. Two individual layers are used per note. There are also many different presets for the effect chains, where four macro parameters can be set.

Another highlight of the instruments is the sequencer, which can be activated or deactivated for each preset. Here, you can choose between 50 different sequences, including Riffs, Arpeggios, Chord Sequences and Phrases. For the sequence, you can set basic parameters such as Note and Pattern Length, Octave Range, and Swing Factor. Furthermore, you can also switch between different sequence variations while playing with the MIDI notes C1-B1.

Verdict

The five synthesizers in the Usynth series each offer very inspiring, contemporary sounds that are perfectly suited to their respective genres and applications for the same price as one sample pack. The sounds can be easily customized and enhanced with effects, as well as transformed into impressive Arpeggios and Riffs with the sequencer. This way, you quickly get appealing musical results. Besides a drag & drop function, we would only wish for more detailed settings here and there.
