Test: Moog Mavis
With the Mavis, Moog gets its first whiff of West Coast air. The successor to the small DIY synthesiser Werkstatt-01 has a wavefolder and is a real novelty in the Moog universe. You can assemble Mavis yourself, but soldering is not necessary. The reward is a semi-modular synthesiser with an oscillator, a classic ladder filter and 24 patch sockets for internal rewiring or linking to other hardware, screwed in via small pin pots. We tested whether this equipment justifies the not necessarily favourable price.
