Based in Valencia, Spain, the Knobula team has made it its mission to bring “music theory in cans” respectively modules into your rack. Poly Cinematic and Chord Pilot in particular make a major contribution here, while Pianophonic takes care of the necessary polyphony.
Poly Cinematic is a compact synthesizer that brings polyphony to the rack. It is easy to use, with a dedicated knob for each parameter. No presets, no menus, just a good, honest tactile experience. Poly Cinematic can be played both via Midi and monophonically via CV/Gate. As a monophonic module, it can play one of 8 chord stacks, selected via CV control. So it‘s both a mono synthesizer with 56 oscillators and a lush poly synthesizer. And reverb is in there too.
Pianophonic is a powerful 8-voice polyphony hybrid synthesizer that combines the power of multi-oscillator wavetable synthesis with the percussive details of sampled sounds. Pianophonic‘s voice architecture is not just limited to piano sounds, but is also extremely versatile and easy to use. With a built-in SD card and our online resynthesizer utility Waveslicer, users can create their own wavetables, hammers and sound banks, making the sound design possibilities endless.
The Chord Pilot offers a completely new way of creating chords with 192 chord memories, a strummer, arpeggiator and 8-step sequencer for chord progressions. The creators of Knobula have ignored the rulebook of music theory and instead offer a module that encourages the curious mind to explore alternative musical paths, be it for generative patches or for EDM riffs..
