66 nasty basslines & chilling arps – for free!

- By Marco Scherer

The MiniFreak is causing quite a stir at the moment. No surprise, as a synth like Serum has never been available as a hardware keyboard version before. Plus the sounds are first class and hardly any other synth is as versatile as it is intuitive – because you can touch it! And that‘s why we think you should get a piece of it. There are 66 delicacies waiting for you: arpeggios guaranteed to give you goosebumps, monumental atmospheres, bristling hooklines and fiddly grooves are the icing on the cake ... enjoy them all!

To be honest, studio sessions with Arturia gear are always inspiring because, where the presets of the first product generations were still the weak point, the developers have made serious improvements and have been delivering the finest material for years. This immediately inspires new ideas or encourages tinkering. We have done both for you and present 66 loops & stems that you can use immediately in your next tracks. ... the 64 new presets make full use of the Wavetable Engine and show the extent to which sound generation can expand the variety of sounds? From cutting EDM Leads to crystal-clear Digi-Pads; in combination with the analog filter, even classic PPG and ProphetVS sounds are no problem.

... the SuperUnison effect can do more than just Chorus sounds? Up to 6 voices can be added, detuned and distributed in the stereo panorama. In contrast to the Unison effect on classic synthesizers, no voices are used, so MiniFreak can still be played polyphonically with 6 voices. ... you can call up 64 of your favorite presets directly via the sequencer buttons? This function is particularly useful for live performances.

... you can set speeds for each individual step with the custom LFO? This makes even more complex modulation sequences possible.

... the MiniFreak V is included with the hardware? Yes, it is!
