TesslaPro mkIV
Variety of Sound, the one-man project from developer Herbert Goldberg, has delighted us with a new, revised version of TesslaPro. The plug-in aims to take care of sound coloration of the incoming audio signal, combining analog sound with modern digital precision and corresponding oversampling. TesslaPro provides an all-in-one package with Saturation, Transient Processing and BassBoost and also expands the depth and width of the mix. The result is more subtle than striking and is, therefore, particularly suitable for Group and Master channels. Basically, you can‘t really do any harm with TesslaPro. At worst, the changes are so unspectacular that they are unnoticeable in the mix, but in most cases it really does sound that decisive bit better afterwards. Automatic gain staging at the input and volume compensation at the output prevent the „louder sounds better“effect and enable unaffected monitoring of the sound changes. We particularly liked the new Transformer effect.
Since the download is straightforward, requires no registration or e-mail address and the file is only a few megabytes in size, you can easily try out the effect plug-in yourself.
Verdict
TesslaPro mkIV is a coloration effect that combines analog saturation and bass boost with digital processing of transients and can also give the input signal more width and depth. This plug-in consumes little memory and CPU, is easy to use, and the range of functions is very good for freeware.
