Das Malamala Game Reserve war Vorbild für die Safari-industrie, die sich von der Jagd zur Tierbeobachtung gewandelt hat. Das Sable Camp ist eine kleinere, intimere Version des Malamala Camps und ideal für diejenigen, die ein privates und abgeschiedenes Safarierlebnis suchen.
Malamala Game Reserve was the first commercial private game reserve in South Africa and thus a role model for the safari industry, which has changed from hunting to game viewing. Malamala covers 13,300 hectares and is located between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve. There are three lodges on the premises: Sable, Rattray’s and Malamala Camp. Tucked away in a verdant forest, on the banks of the world-famous Sand River is Rattray’s, where wildlife of all shapes and sizes can be seen while taking a dip in the private plunge pool. Malamala Camps is an unfenced oasis in the middle of the bush. Paths wind along the camp, past massive trees and the occasional antelope or elephant seeking the lush vegetation. Sable Camp is a smaller, more intimate version of Malamala Camp and ideal for those seeking a private and secluded safari experience.
