US to be honored country at 2018 Thessaloniki Fair
The US will be the honored country at next year’s Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), the government and Helexpo have decided, while the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce has been chosen to organize the US pavilion at TIF 2018. The chamber welcomed the decision yesterday, saying it stems from the strong relationship between the US and Greece “and the support by the US in the period of the Greek financial crisis through various interventions and the investments that US enterprises have implemented in the country in recent years.” The main theme of the US pavilion at TIF 2018 will be innovation and new developments (technological and others) across all sectors. “The chamber aims to attract significant companies and organizations from the US, the presence of which combined with the realization of parallel events will render the fair and Thessaloniki in general a very attractive destination for hundreds of thousands of visitors from throughout Greece and the broader region, illustrating once again the very close and lasting relationship between the two countries,” the chamber added, branding TIF the top business event in Southeastern Europe.
