Riddim Squad, Camptown win by walkovers

Riddim Squad and Camptown secured walkover wins when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Stag Beer League continued yesterday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground in Bourda.

Riddim Squad defeated Beacons who failed to produce the required amount of players to start the fixture. Similarly, Camptown defeated Flamingo via the identical route.

Due to the results, Riddim Squad climb into the third position on 25 points while Camptown move onto 18 points in the fifth position. For the losers, Beacons remain in the cellar position on four points while Flamingo remain in the seventh position on 10 points.

The event will resume on Sunday at the same venue with another doubleheader. In the opening match at 18:00hrs, Northern Rangers will oppose the Guyana Police Force while the feature showdown at 20:00hrs will pit league leader Western Tigers against second placed Santos.
