The Guyana Police Force (GPF), Northern Rangers and Riddim Squad, secured contrastin­g wins, when the Corona Invitation­al Football Championsh­ip coordinate­d by the Petra Organizati­on, continued on Friday.

Staged at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda, GPF riddled Black Pearl 12-0. Quincy Holder led the rout with a helmet trick in the 30th, 56th, 64th and 68th minute.

The eight other goals were shared between the quartet of Dwayne Jacobs, Rawle Thornhill, Keon Duke and Anthio Wallace.

Similarly, Northern Rangers crushed Pele 3-0. Anthony Sancho recorded a brace in the seventh and 22nd minute, while Stephon Reynolds found the back of the net in the 36th minute.

Meanwhile, Riddim Squad squeaked past Santos 1-0. Rolex Smith separated the two sides, compliment­s of a 30th minute conversion.

The event continues tomorrow at the same venue with another triplehead­er. In the opening fixture at 17:00hrs, Flamingo will oppose Eastveldt, while Camptown will engage Beacons at 19:00hrs. The final fixture will pit GFC against Western Tigers from 21:00hrs.
