Dennis nets hat trick in BV Triumph’s defeat of Scorpions

Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph and Plaisance secured contrasting wins when the East Coast Demerara zone of the Frank Watson Memorial U15 League continued at the Golden Grove Ground yesterday.

BV/Triumph downed Victoria Scorpions 3-1. Tyrese Dennis recorded a hat-trick in the 30th, 35th and 49th minute for the victors. Mark Roberts netted for Victoria Scorpions in the 18th minute.

Meanwhile, Plaisance edged home side Golden Stars 2-1. Simeon Ifill and Jamal Fraser scored in the 15th and 54th minute each while Tyrese James netted his team’s consolation goal in the 25th minute.

In the Buxton derby, Buxton Stars and Buxton United battled to a 1-1 result. Brandon Sim handed Buxton Stars the lead in the 37th minute, while Collin Henriques equalised in the 47th minute. Also, Ann’s Grove gained a walkover from Mahaica Determinators. In the East Bank Demerara Zone at the Timehri ground, Swan FC edged Mocha 3-2. Christov Roberts, Kevin Daniels and Azeem Calisto scored in the 15th, 55th and 60thminute apiece.

For Mocha, Jermin Harry and Yohance Porter scored in the eighth and 25thminute respectively while Kuru-Kururu and Herstelling Raiders battled to a 22 draw. Dwight Noble and Shaquille Agard scored for Kuru-Kururu in the second and 10th minute respectively.

For Herstelling, Solomon Austin and Raphael Singh netted in the 35th and 60thminute respectively.
