Without revealing his/her name, Bollywood Hungama quoted a young filmmaker as saying, “The rivalry between Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone is no secret. For some very strange reason everything that Priyanka gets, Deepika also wants.” The source added, “We don’t know why this should be so. Deepika has as much success and stardom as Priyanka. What she doesn’t have is Priyanka ‘s international fame.” The filmmaker concluded, “Now that Priyanka has gotten herself an American fiancé, Deepika seems to be looking at ways to upstage her.”
