-

A post-mortem examination conducted on the remains of Trinidadbased Guyanese stylist Latchman Singh has found that he died due to multiple injuries and blunt trauma to the head.

A relative of the now dead Latchman confirmed the findings to this newspaper.

Singh, better known as Marc Anthony Singh, was stabbed multiple times to the back of his neck and upper back at an apartment in El Dorado, where his body was found last Tuesday.

A Trinidad Express report stated that police were called to the apartment at 6.30 pm and they met a witness who said that half an hour earlier he arrived home from work and walked into the apartment he shared with Singh and another man.

In the bedroom he found Singh, 27, face down on the floor, clad in underwear and a bra top. Singh had been stabbed in the back multiple times.

Singh was a member of the LGTBQIA community and was well known for executing outstanding bridal packages consisting of make-up and hairstyles, as well as specially designed outfits which had gained him quite a reputation.

Meanwhile, Samira Singh, a sister of the deceased, described her brother as a joyful and inspiring individual.

Samira stated that at the time of his death Latchman was unemployed due to only recently having relocated to the new apartment in El Dorado after he was robbed at his old residence.

She noted that Latchman migrated some six years ago to the island to establish himself in the fashion business.

However, he recently began talking of returning home to set up business with her, she added.

Latchman resided at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara before migrating.

The grieving family is still trying to come to terms with the death of the youth and also raised concerns over receiving information from police officials in Trinidad concerning his death.

They are further seeking the help of the public to assist with the burial of the deceased.
