An end to bland is a wrap away

-

If you ever find you can’t decide between a sandwich or salad, know that it is possible to have both. You can eat healthily on the move if you wrap it up. Wraps are now my go-to snack of choice.

As you can imagine, there is a backstory. For weeks, I had found myself stuck in a lunch rut. I was eating the same thing: white rice, chicken breast and veggies or salads and chicken breast. It had become bland.

Then one day I was at Bounty Supermarket shopping and I saw wraps for sale. I decided to give them a try as

I desperately needed a change. I have been hooked ever since.

Anyone who follows my Instagram stories knows that lately I have been making wraps almost on a daily basis. They are versatile and so much more than just a little bit of chicken and lettuce on a plain tortilla.

So if you are looking for a quick, convenient, healthy snack idea, wraps are a great option for meals. They are easy to prepare and delicious; the combinations you can use are as endless as your imagination. My wraps are loaded with lean protein and tons of veggies as what I desire is a satisfying and nutritious meal. You can also take that boring bowl of veggies to the next level as a salad wrap. What makes these wraps so great is that they are portable: a kind of grab-and-go food customized to your palate. They taste way better than a salad, and if you make them right, they can be just as low in calories.

Wraps have certainly brought excitement back to my lunch routine. They can do the same for you. If you decide to try wraps, let me know what your outcome is. These are some of the basic ingredients I use in my wraps, but you do not have to be limited by them, as I said before, let your imagination guide you. When I can get them,

I prefer to use whole wheat ready-prepared wraps. My other ingredients are:

● Air fried or grilled chicken breast (diced)

Air fried or grilled bacon

● Avocados ● Tomatoes ● Carrots

● Onions

● Lettuce

● Cheese

● Carrots

I also use a mixture of hot sauce, mayonnaise, honey mustard and ketchup. After filling and expertly folding the wraps, I put them on my George Foreman grill for five minutes on each side, cut them in half and then dig in. ●
