British heritage endures in modern Guyanese

- Dear Editor,

I am sorry to say that I will no longer be reading the Stabroek News after reading the disgusting Windsor editorial. People may not have seen her in person but more have seen her via media than anybody has seen a so called God. The Caribbean asking for an apology. Guyana itself should apologise for the sad way it has let a beautiful city fall into such disrepair.

Yes, the funeral will be a precise and spectacular event, something Guyana I doubt will ever be able to do. I cannot say if a Saudi billionaire paid the King monies, but I am pretty certain the Governments of our country have had their pockets lined one way or the other.

Just one British heritage… walk down Croal or South Street… have a look at the bridges. You will see they are dated and were made and built by the British. And they are still in their original state. How many Guyanese bridges can boast that?

Sincerely P. Pay
