Tigers win, Riddim Squad, Eastveldt play to stalemate
Western Tigers defeated Pele 3-1 when the Georgetown Football Association leg of the NAMILCO U17 League continued yesterday at the Guyana Football Federation Training Centre, Providence.
Elijah Saffover, Kenneth Gordon and William Pedro scored in the seventh, 61st, and 75th minute respectively of the contest that only featured one official, with GFA executives serving in the capacity of assistant referees. This also occurred in the earlier matchup. On target in the loss was Jaquan Cole in the 28th minute.
Meanwhile, Riddim Squad and Eastveldt played to a 1-1 stalemate in the earlier affair. Dwayne Kellman opened the scoring for Riddim Squad in the 38th minute, while Jamal Harry equalised in the 56th minute.
