LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)

The Lucas Stock Index edged up 0.286% during the first period of trading in October, 2022. The stocks of six companies were traded, with 121,632 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and two Tumblers.

The stock price of Caribbean Container Inc (CCI) rose 5.0% on the sale of 10,000, shares while the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) rose 2.887% on the sale of 73,588 shares.

In contrast, the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) fell 2.580% on the sale of 9,223 shares and that of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) fell 0.126% on the sale of 28,090 shares.

In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) and Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) remained unchanged on the sale of 307 and 424 shares, respectively.
