President Ali attends Essequibo cameraman’s funeral:

President Irfaan Ali (standing in white shirt) on Saturday attended the funeral service of the late cameraman Don Trevor Patrick, of Charity Housing Scheme, who died on Tuesday last after the boat he was in capsized in the Lower Pomeroon. He was at the time accompanying President Ali’s media team during Ali’s visit to the Pomeroon River. Also attending the funeral service was Minister of Housing and Water Susan Rodrigues, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister Kwame McCoy, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Nigel Dharamlall and Regional Officials. Over two thousand persons attended the funeral. The deceased was a father of three and was a cameraman by profession. At his death, he was a part-time worker with Radio Essequibo as an operator. He worked previously with Alfro Alphonso as an operator at RCA.
