LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)

The Lucas Stock Index rose 0.302% during the second period of trading in November 2022. The stocks of seven companies were traded with 81,104 shares changing hands. There were four Climbers and one Tumbler.

The stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 10.370% on the sale of 165 shares while the stock price of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) rose 4% on the sale of 1,500 shares. In addition, the stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 0.962% on the sale of 10,150 shares and the stock price of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) rose 0.066% on the sale of 850 shares.

In contrast, the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) fell 3.145% on the sale of 26,500 shares.

In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Banks DIH (DIH) and Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) remained unchanged on the sale of 30,189 and 11,750 shares, respectively. The LSI closed at 1,583.719.
