Balkishun, Cujoe see Bladen Hall past Buxton Secondary

Only Rahul Heymraj and Cayden Ferguson managed to reach double figures before Ramraj, the wicket keeper in the match, took a hat trick.

Roopnarine supported with 3-12 while Datterdeen and Prashad picked up two wickets each.

Over at the Everest Cricket Club ground, Camp Road, another national player Pradesh Balkishun scored a blistering century to set up a win on first innings points for Bladen Hall Secondary over Buxton Secondary.

Bladen Hall took first strike with Balkishun sharing an 84-run opening stand with Venkatesh Armogan who made 13.

He then added a further 82-run stand with Permaul Armogan who made 14.

Balkishun ended on 139 as Bladen Hall reached 215 all out with the help of 42 extras.

Balkishun’s innings came from 80 balls and included 18 fours and four sixes.

Keron Sutton was the pick of the bowlers with 527 while Shamer Yaw picked up 3-32 and Darendra Lall 2-62.

In reply, Shawn Cudjoe took 6-23 as Buxton were dismissed for 37, with 15 extras.

Bladen Hall enforced the follow on and Buxton reached 46-7 in the remaining eight overs of play with Roberto Thomas bagging 4-4 from two overs.
