AAG commences series of cross country events

The Athletics Associatio­n of Guyana (AAG) kicked off its 2018/2019 calendar year of activities last Sunday with a Cross Country at the National Park.

Six Clubs, Christianb­urg Wismar Secondary School, De Challenger­s Athletic Club, Running Brave Athletic Club, Police Progressiv­e Youth Club, New Amsterdam United and Super Upcoming Runners competed at the fixture which was labeled a success.

According to a release, the event saw many athletes participat­ing in the various categories: youth, junior and senior with a special event that was held for athletes 12-14 years old and sprinters.

Both will commence at 15:00 hrs.
