- By Romario Samaroo

Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets will enter the final of the Berbice Cricket Board/ Ivan Madray 100-ball after defeating Tucber Park Cricket Club by five wickets on Sunday at Albion Community Centre Ground.

With the sun shining in all its glory, the two teams, boosted with the addition of a senior national player per side, saw Tucber Park only managing 100-8 from their 100 balls while Rose Hall Town replied with 101-5 from 92 balls.

Skipper of Rose Hall Town expressed his confidence in his side heading into the final and said that he was pleased with the disciplined work of his men, having reached another final.

Tucber Park began cautiously with Malcom Mickle and Steve Deonarine putting on 13 before Mickle was undone by Keith Simpson for nine while Kevin Sinclair accounted for Clifton Lindie to shift the momentum to Rose Hall Town.

Deonarine and Hakeem Hinds did well to bring the total to 45 before both batsmen were dismissed by Junior Sinclair off back-to-back deliveries. Deonarine was bowled for 12 while Hinds was dismissed for 18.

Tucber Park lost wickets consistently but National all-rounder, Romario Shepherd’s cameo of 22 propelled the men in Orange to a defendable total before he was drawn out of his crease and stumped.

Junior Sinclair, finished with 3-9 and was supported by Eon Hooper with 2-21.

In reply, Decon Clements removed both Kevin Sinclair (0) and Junior Sinclair (4) in successive overs but the total never fazed the strong batting line up of Rose Hall Town. After Vidal Crandon was run out for two, Kevlon Anderson and Jason Sinclair sailed to the target.

Anderson, returning from his stint at the West Indies U19 training camp, stroked 42 with three boundaries but his ability to pick the gap and convert ones into twos proved vital.

owever, he was bowled by Shepherd while Jason Sinclair was run out for 28 to break the fourth wicket partnership of 55.

Clements finished with 2-16 and Shepherd returned 1-19.
