Red Force win to ex­tend Scor­pi­ons mis­ery

KINGSTON, Ja­maica, CMC – Leg-spin­ner Im­ran Khan snatched five wick­ets as Trinidad and Tobago Red Force piled fur­ther mis­ery on Ja­maica Scor­pi­ons with a 157-run vic­tory early on the fi­nal day of their fourth round match here yes­ter­day.

Re­sum­ing at Sabina Park on 108 for five, Scor­pi­ons showed pre­cious lit­tle re­sis­tance as they folded for 167 in their sec­ond in­nings, to plunge to their third straight de­feat of the sea­son.

Test left-han­der As­sad Fu­dadin, un­beaten on six overnight, fin­ished on 35 not out but was the only bright spark for Scor­pi­ons as Im­ran Khan tore through the in­nings with five for 59.

He took four of the five wick­ets which tum­bled for the ad­di­tion of just 59 runs, with left-arm spin­ner Khary Pierre tak­ing the other to end with three for 29.

Test bats­man Rov­man Pow­ell added just 11 to his overnight two be­fore be­com­ing the first vic­tim of the day with the score on 126, and his dis­missal set the tone of the re­main­der of the in­nings.

Fu­dadin, who faced 111 balls and counted four fours, put on 21 for the sev­enth wicket with Al­daine Thomas (11) which seemed set to frus­trate Red Force.

But Thomas lost his pa­tience af­ter spend­ing half-hour Ex­tras TO­TAL Fall of wick­ets:
