New ‘Royalty’ charter service launches with Region One flights

Royalty Air Service, a new charter company, yesterday launched its first flight between Ogle and Port Kaituma with the aim of delivering a high quality air service locally.

A statement from the company yesterday said that the air service is partnering with Roraima Airways and Jags Aviation to deliver air travel options between Ogle and the Region One communitie­s of Port Kaituma, Matthews Ridge and Mabaruma.

In the statement, Operations Manager Mark Peters noted that they aim to deliver affordable, convenient and value for money air transporta­tion for customers and air cargo.

“Apart from the very competitiv­e pricing, the service is offering ticket delivery, online payment via Republic Bank and loyalty rewards. Royalty Loyalty, the rewards programme, yields a free roundtrip flight after 20 flights,” the statement said.

It noted that cargo under a pound will be transporte­d for free while cargo above that carries a fee of $100 per pound.

Flights will be operated between Ogle and Port Kaituma on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, while flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays between Ogle and Mabaruma from February 24, and between Ogle and Matthews Ridge from February 26.

Peters said that the company aims to differenti­ate itself through its service and affordabil­ity and Corporate

Social Responsibi­lity.

“We want to support the communitie­s we operate in by providing opportunit­ies for youths especially,” Peters said as he announced that the company will be embarking on socioecono­mic projects after consulting with the people.

The company also announced that it is currently constructi­ng a luxury departure lounge at Ogle.
