BFA Futsal c/ships down to final four as teams battle to qualify for K&S c/ships

-Almanac Kings, Potaro A, Jones Avenue and Beacons A clash in semifinals tonight

Almanac Kings will face-off with Potaro ‘A’ while Jones Avenue will battle Beacons ‘A’ in the semifinal round of the Bartica Football Association (BFA) Futsal Championships playoff tonight at the Community Centre ground.

The resulting four teams progressed to the final four section following lopsided wins on Monday in the quarterfinal section. Almanac Kings brushed aside Beacons ‘B’ by a 4-2 score. Similarly, Potaro ‘A’ bested Rising Stars ‘A’ by a commanding 6-1 score.

Meanwhile, Beacons ‘A’ downed Lazio 5-3, while Jones Avenue completed the quartet with a 5-2 drubbing of Espanola.

The resulting winners of the semi-final clashes will match skills in the grand final which is also scheduled for later in the evening. The top finishers will also earn the right to represent the region at the GFF/Kashif and Shanghai Futsal Championship.

Prior to the final, two exhibition matches will occur. According to the President of the BFA Alden Marslow, an all-female fixture and a U13 matchup will be staged.
