Crandon, Yaw help ASA to lopsided win

Guyanese national basketball players, Akeem Crandon and Israel Yaw, once again aided ASA College of New York to a lopsided 72-60 home victory over Union County College on Saturday.

The Plaisance Guardians duo combined for 34 points in the win. Crandon top scored for his side with 24 points.

On the other hand, Israel Yaw recorded figures of 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

It was the fourth consecutive win for the unbeaten ASA College in as many matches. ASA College, to date, has recorded wins against University of Connecticut at Avery Point, Dutchess

Community College and Essex County College.

The team will now turn their attention to Hostos Community College tomorrow. They will also be in action on Friday against Raritan Valley Community College.
