Local micro and small businesses seeking to navigate their way through what, these days, has become an increasingly challenging business environment, can hardly overlook the opportunity the festive season affords, to bring to the attention of consumers the fruit of their productive efforts.

Last week the recently established, women-driven Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Development notified the Stabroek Business of its Friday December 17th to Saturday December 18th ‘Pop Up Shop’ which will ‘pop up’ at Shureen’s Beauty world, at 91 Croal and Winter Place in Georgetown.

The event, apart from providing an exciting Christmas shopping option, affords customers the opportunity to be introduced to the creations of a fast-emerging group of creative Guyanese men and women whose offerings in the areas of foods, beverages, condiments, beauty products, and handicraft, among others, have already found favour among local distributors.

Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Development particularly recommends this pre-Christmas pop-up shop as an opportunity to ‘pick up’ unique seasonal gift items.

Stabroek Business understands that the weekend event is part of a wider initiative that seeks to generate networking and marketing opportunities through which members can exchange ideas that will redound to their benefit across the board.
