Rapid increase in COVID infections

The chart below gives a peek at the rapid increase in COVID-19 infections across Guyana.

The only Region that did not record an increase in infections was Region 8 (Potaro-Siparuni). Given the infectious nature of the virus this might be more of a communications and/or outreach problem than an actuality. It’s very unlikely that given the numbers around it that Region 8 has just one infected person.

Note too that even though infections rose significantly deaths remained fairly low over this almost two-week period.
