Canada-based Guyanese vows to go above and beyond as logistics firm launched

-

Canada-based logistics firm C S World Cargo 2000 Limited promised to go “above and beyond” to provide clients with the best possible service during the launch of its first branch in Georgetown on Tuesday, and announced plans to establish three more local offices within the next five years.

Founder and director Chandie Singh was born in Guyana, but migrated to Canada in 1982 where he got a job at a logistics firm and found his love for the industry.

At the launching, Singh recalled that it was a customer who encouraged him to establish his own company due to his knowledge of the industry as well as his work ethic. He listened and before long C S World Cargo was born.

According to Singh, it was his determination to ensure a client was satisfied by going above and beyond to provide the best possible service that made him stand out from the crowd and which no doubt helped with his company’s success.

Singh noted that even during the COVID-19 pandemic when production had completely shut down, the company did its best to stay ahead of the competition – a feat in which it was also successful.

“Just imagine what we can do for you,” Singh stated, adding that Guyanese clients as well as those from other countries who require the service of the company can expect the same high level of service.

“We go above and beyond to ensure that our customers get the product [required] in a timely manner at a good price…This is what we will be bringing to Guyana – our passion for this business, and our desire to give back to the Guyanese community,” he said.

At the launch, the company also made a sizable donation to the Blind Institute, an organisation that Singh said has a special place in his heart because of his brother suffering from the disability. “What they do is very important,” he said.

He reiterated that his company is focused on investing in the Guyanese community and will do so by growing and expanding to Berbice, Essequibo and Linden. Those branches, he said, will be able to provide the complete logistics services package within five years. “We are here ready to hit the ground running and continue to go above and beyond for our customers,” Singh stated.

Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill, who was present at the launch, said he was glad that a Guyanese-owned company has the confidence to invest in Guyana, noting that there are many gaps to full as a result of the country’s growing economy and the logistics industry is one that will now be filled.

He noted that the establishment of a logistics company in Guyana that aims to invest in Guyanese is an opportunity for Guyana to become a global player in the trade, logistics and supply chain industry.
